LONG BEACH, CA - Media Day in Long Beach marks the beginning of the 2008 Season of Formula Drift, which also marked the unveiling of the Newly Redesigned 2008 JIC Magic/Hankook Tire Drift Spec Porsche 911 GT2 RS, and its second year of competition. Along with a new variation on the paint and vinyl scheme, this new Porsche has been redesigned pushing out more power and more angle than ever before. This new Porsche has been refitted with a new aerodynamic Evolution GT2 Bumper as well as an APR Dry Carbon Wing. The Chassis has been completely refreshed with a new welded Roll Cage custom made and designed for this vehicle, and the car lighten with new Evolution GT2 Ultra light weight fiberglass doors. The interior gauge displays have been replaced with a new digital dash system and new STRI Racing Gauges.
Redesigned with new State-of-the-Art components, today was the proving grounds for the JIC Magic/Hankook Tire Porsche as it took to the course, in its first runs of the season. The 911 GT2 performed flawlessly as Tyler took stride during his three practice sessions, while offering rides to the celebrity and media attendees. The JIC Magic/Hankook Tire Porsche completed a total of fifteen laps around the Long Beach course, enlightening each passenger of capability and competitive power of this finely tuned Porsche. After a successful season last year, 2008 looks to be even better, with the 2008 Spec JIC Magic/Hankook Tire Porsche 911 GT2.
